Homotopy Theory and Generalized Duality for Spectral Sheaves
In this paper we announce a Verdier-type duality theorem for sheaves of spectra on a topological space X. Along the way we are led to develop the homotopy theory and stable homotopy theory of spectral sheaves. Such theories have been worked out in the past, most notably by [Br], [BG], [T], and [J]. But for our purposes these theories are inappropriate. They also have not been developed as fully...
متن کاملSheaves and Homotopy Theory
The purpose of this note is to describe the homotopy-theoretic version of sheaf theory developed in the work of Thomason [14] and Jardine [7, 8, 9]; a few enhancements are provided here and there, but the bulk of the material should be credited to them. Their work is the foundation from which Morel and Voevodsky build their homotopy theory for schemes [12], and it is our hope that this expositi...

متن کاملToward a Mackey Formula for Compact Restriction of Character Sheaves
We generalize [6, Theorem 3] to a Mackey-type formula for the compact restriction of a semisimple perverse sheaf produced by parabolic induction from a character sheaf, under certain conditions on the parahoric group scheme used to define compact restriction. This provides new tools for matching character sheaves with admissible representations.
متن کاملMorse Theory and Tilting Sheaves
Tilting perverse sheaves arise in geometric representation theory as natural bases for many categories. (See [1] or Section 3 below for definitions and some background results.) For example, for category O of a complex reductive group G, tilting modules correspond to tilting sheaves on the Schubert stratification S of the flag variety B. In this setting, there are many characterizations of tilt...
